Hi! This is Allie.

Her foster family loves her! Allie is so sweet and potty trained and walks great on a leash and loves everyone she meets! She is perfect! Except she has an enlarged heart and grade 6 heart murmur. Allie is doing well on her medication which cost $50 a month but she still has a hard time breathing and wheezes from time to time. Left as is, her condition will only worsen and she probably will live less than a year. Allie is 9 months old. However, her doctor believes Allie might have Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) which is one of the most common congenital heart defects in dogs. PDA is treatable with surgery and, if Allie is a candidate, she could live a normal life. The only way to know for sure is for Allie to see a cardiologist and have an echocardiogram to diagnose. The cost of the visit is about $1000 and surgery could be $5000.
